Description

TERRAINFLEX WALKING BEAM – IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF YOUR 1850, 1860 OR 1890 AIR DRILLThe TerrainFlex by Applequist Manufacturing, Inc was created to address issues with 30', 36', 40' and 42' three-section 1850, 1860, and 1890 Air Drills on uneven terrain. If you own one of these drills and you do contour farming, particularly with a lot of terraces, you’ve probably experienced the frame frequently lifting off the ground creating uneven down pressure.PIVOTING WALKING BEAMWith the TerrainFlex Pivoting Walking Beam installed, the gauge wheels allow the wing frames to better follow the contours of the field. When the wheels have more contact with the ground, the results are less downtime due to machine breakdowns and a more consistent seed placement from the openers.INSTALLATIONThe installation process is a 2-person job that typically takes around 3 hours. It involves the use of a skid steer or other loader. Installation requires removal of the gauge wheels from the factory beams and then removal of the factory beams from the frame, followed by installation of the new TerrainFlex walking beam onto the frame and then placing the gauge wheels onto the TerrainFlex.Specifications and data shown are subject to change with or without prior notice.
